DUCC Annual Dinner 15 May 2009

This year’s DUCC Annual Dinner took place in the impressive venue of the Institute of Directors. With the gracious support of Danske Bank, McGuireWoods formerly Grundberg Mocatta Rakison LLP, and Krogh & Partners, the more than 100 attendees had a very enjoyable evening. The highlight of the evening was the surprise performance of the Danish vocal group Basix - these guys are not just any kind of vocal group. Make sure you read the story about them in this newsletter

This year we celebrated the Chamber's 20th birthday, a special milestone. The Guest Speaker, HE The Danish Ambassador Birger Riis-Jørgensen, highlighted the importance of the special relationship that exists between the UK and Denmark and that a network organisation like the Danish-UK Chamber of Commerce has an important role to play in maintaining this. Per Troen, the DUCC's current Chairman and founding member of the Chamber 20 years ago could concur. 20 years ago the world was coming to terms with some major global events, including the fall of the wall in Berlin, the end of the Soviet Union and a global financial crisis to mention but a few. Throughout the years he had felt networks play important roles to secure your business.
