Internship at The Danish-UK Chamber of Commerce, London
The Danish-UK Chamber of Commerce (DUCC) is an independent organisation located within the Royal Danish Embassy in London. The DUCC is an independent non-profit organisation and plays a significant role in supporting Danish-British trade relations.
The aim of the DUCC is to maintain and improve the forum for Anglo-Danish business networking through active member-companies across all industries. The main activities of DUCC are to provide a medium for the Anglo-Danish business community where ideas and experiences can be shared. Throughout the year DUCC hosts events with prominent speakers from the world of business and politics. In addition DUCC organises regular seminars, company presentations, evening receptions, networking lunches and joint events with members of the other Nordic chambers of commerce in London.
The Danish-UK Chamber of Commerce is looking for a new intern every 6 months. The term goes from either 1st of July to 31st of December or from January 1st to 30th of June.

As an intern you will participate in the daily activities and chores of the office. The main tasks are to support the Managing Director and the Marketing & Events Manager. You will be working in an international and inspiring environment with excellent opportunities to meet a network of Anglo-Nordic Companies in the UK.
Your work consists of various tasks such as:
- Planning, coordinating and hosting network events
- Design and produce invitations
- Prepare membership mail outs
- Preparation of newsletter including collecting and producing relevant material and news stories
- New member lead generation
- Membership liaison
- Researching of potential members
- Member retention
- Participation in internal and external chamber meetings
- General office administration
- Website maintenance
- Updating events
- Updating membership database
- A.o.
Your skill set include:
- Enrolled in a higher education
- Is outgoing, committed and ready to take responsibility
- Have good interpersonal skills
- Be self motivated
- Proficiency in English and Danish at a high level both written and verbal
- Good administrative and organisational qualities
- Good IT understanding
- Good telephone manners
Practical information:
The Chamber provides the intern with a contribution of £300 per month + contribution towards transportation in central London equivalent to a 2 zones travel card. You will have 2½ weeks of vacation at your disposal plus regular UK Bank holidays. You will be responsible for finding your own accommodation.

The next deadline is 3 February 2012 for start 2 July 2012.
You application and CV should be submitted by email only in English and contain an up to date picture. Telephone interviews will be conducted the following week and will be conducted in English. As we are based within the Danish Embassy a security clearance check for previous criminal convictions will be undertaken by the Embassy through Danish PET, and all named referees will be contacted and checked. Danish citizenship required for same reasons.
