Editorial: Eurovision - A result of many months of networking

Coming back from the Eurovision and having just seen the viewer ratings of this year's show, I'm stunned to see 195 million people watched the broadcast from Copenhagen (25 million up from last year). In my line of business, this is considered a tangible success. I can't help but resonate over the high number and wonder why so many people across the world chose to tune in to the world's biggest song contest?
