scenario planning master class

copenhagen institute for futures studies

8 june 2011, royal danish embassy london

Is your organization sufficiently future-oriented? Do you want to be better positioned to drive changes - instead of just reacting to them? Unlock the strategic power of scenarios.

Scenarios are one of the most widely used strategic tools - and often an organization’s most guarded secret. Scenario planning is the process by which you can transcend the day-to-day traps of operational activities to find a dynamic perspective on the increasingly turbulent world.

What to expect

During this full-day master class, you will learn the advanced methods for building scenarios. The programme is based on a step-by-step model that begins with a mapping of the drivers of change: megatrends. Best-practices and pitfalls will be pointed out along the way, and the course will culminate with the hands-on building of real-world scenarios in a live case-based simulation.
