Anne Sofie Danekilde, Marketing & Events Manager at The DUCC

New people = new times = change!

At the DUCC office there have been a few changes during the last couple of months. I, Anne Sofie Danekilde, started as the new Marketing and Events Manager November 1st 2011 and Marie Mølbak-Andersen started as our new intern January 4th 2012. With new people come new times and changes to the office and consequently to our external communication. We of course always strive to do things better for all our members everyday and with a new strategy at the DUCC, we have tried just that!

Firstly, as the events calendar for 2012 was ready at the end of 2011, we were able to send out proposal packages – meaning that all events were written in one joint proposal - in order to go to our members only once to seek partnerships for the events. This has been done to keep the communication about partnerships to a minimum... You can still be part of all of this so please let us know if you are interested.

Secondly, during the next couple of months, a few changes will be made to our website. All events now have a small calendar icon in the top right corner in order to make it easier for you to add events to your diary. Moreover, it is now possible to share our events and news on your preferred social media sites or by mail just by clicking at the small sharing icons. Other smaller changes will be made to the website including a new industry list under members, making company- or industry search easier.

Thirdly, we are slowly updating your member profiles. You will receive an email during the next months about your profile and logo – whether you would like to update anything in the text and whether we have the correct logo. Also, we are strongly considering using video in order to promote our members. Therefore, we will be giving all members the opportunity of having a video in the profile. For individual members we will be creating a list with your name (if you’d like), which links to your LinkedIn profile or other social media sites.

Fourthly, as film is becoming the best way to market and promote everything and everyone and the one tool that people tend to grasp more than text and audio, we would like to use it more. Therefore, we are considering creating a “DUCC Outstanding Business Video” where we have members promoting other members and your success stories.

Fifthly, on Facebook we have three different pages, two company pages and one “person”. We have therefore come to the conclusion that deleting the “person” and one of the company pages would be much more efficient in our attempt to communicate with you through social media. So please our new page.

Moreover, we are considering creating a new company page/profile on LinkedIn. However, to create a new page means that we have to close the current profile under Gunnar P. Larsen. We are making these changes in order to promote the company in itself in addition to cleaning up the communication going through our social media channels.

Sixthly, besides the profile offer to promote your company or yourself, we have other marketing offers, which we will be sending out to you in the near future, making you aware of how we can promote your company through the DUCC.

Lastly, if you like what we do then please do not hesitate to write us a testimonial and tell us how we have helped you.

Although it may seem like many changes it is only a few tweaks here and there. We hope you like the new approach to communicating with you.

Status five months into 2012:

127 corporate members and growing, 2 chairmen,  11 events, 700 plus attendees, numerable VIP guests speakers including CEO Nykredit Group Peter Engberg Jensen, CEO of London City Airport Richard Gooding, 3 time 800m Gold medal winner Wilson Kipketer, former Prime Minister of Denmark Lars Løkke Rasmussen.
